I've gone back and forth between both without reinstalling windows just restoring back to the one that works and each time it worked so I'm pretty sure it's the updated controller not working with my Motherboard?

Hi, I recently reinstalled windows 7 and have been able to have internet access while running the old Ethernet driver/controller but if I update to the GBE Family controller it works but it doesn't connect to my modem and on the back of my PC it doesn't
